We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer for a 12-month contract role based in Weehawken, New Jersey. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex financial services systems, integrating enterprise platforms and designing scalable distributed architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full stack Java applications using Spring Boot and REST APIs
- Build and maintain distributed systems with focus on reliability and performance
- Integrate enterprise platforms, lending systems, and banking infrastructure
- Architect and implement system integrations using messaging technologies
- Develop AI agents and agentic software engineering solutions to automate and enhance software development lifecycle processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Qualifications
- Required
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with REST API design and development
- Experience with distributed systems architecture
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQ
- Integration experience with enterprise platforms, lending systems, or banking applications
- Deep understanding of API design, system integration, and enterprise application architecture
- Experience building AI Agents and Agentic Software Engineering solutions
- Hands-on experience with Java-based AI frameworks such as Spring AI, LangChain4j, Semantic Kernel, or MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Preferred
- Background in Financial Services industry
- Experience with Loan IQ platform
