You will work on cutting-edge 100,000-pound autonomous robots and engineer complex systems at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI.About the RoleOwn and professionalize Teleo's full-stack platform. Unify fragmented internal tools and customer-facing products into a cohesive, production-grade stack. Establish engineering standards for web and cloud development across the company and scale the platform as the business grows.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn the architecture and development of customer-facing dashboards and internal toolsConsolidate and harden a landscape of full-stack applications into maintainable, well-tested production servicesDefine and enforce engineering standards: API design, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices for all full-stack workBuild and maintain backend services in Python and Node.js on AWS (Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito)Develop responsive frontend experiences in React with TypeScriptManage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CDK)Integrate with hardware systems via REST APIs and WebSockets for control and telemetryParticipate in remote support rotations, including occasional early/late hoursRequired Qualifications4+ years of professional full-stack development (Python + React/TypeScript)Strong backend fundamentals: REST API design, authentication, database modelingProduction AWS experience (Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, or comparable services)DevOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and production operationsDemonstrated ability to own and ship products end-to-end with minimal oversightComfortable working in office in Palo Alto, CAPreferred QualificationInfrastructure-as-code: Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormationFrontend state management, component architecture, and modern React patternsSecuring and hardening web applications for production useMonitoring, logging, and alerting for production web servicesWorking across multiple codebases and projects simultaneouslyBonus PointsEarly-stage startup experience, comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hatsHardware-adjacent experience: comfortable with telemetry systems, embedded device interfaces, or basic electronics conceptsExperience with ROSExperience with C/C++Teleo is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
