Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python/Angular)

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of a critical, workflow driven application built on AWS and Temporal. This is a hands on, high autonomy role for someone who wants real ownership from day one, not just a seat on a large team.

What you'll own

You'll step in as the sole engineer responsible for stabilizing and modernizing the application, working directly with the enterprise architect and technical lead. You'll triage and fix production issues, provide clear estimates to stakeholders, and roll out changes incrementally rather than in one big release. After the application is stabilized (roughly 4 to 6 months), there's a strong path to join a broader initiative and help shape a new data product, making this a long term opportunity, not a short term fix it job.

What the work looks like

• 60 to 75% backend, 25 to 40% frontend
• Backend in Python (FastAPI, REST APIs); other backend languages considered if paired with strong fundamentals
• Frontend in Angular, TypeScript, RxJS
• Workflow orchestration through Temporal, supporting approval processes across the platform
• Full AWS stack: Lambda, API Gateway, EKS/Kubernetes, Aurora PostgreSQL, Secrets Manager, ECR
• PostgreSQL and relational database design

What you'll need

• Experience with Python/FastAPI and Angular/TypeScript
• AWS cloud experience (Azure/GCP considered)
• Ability to self manage, prioritize, and lead technical initiatives without a team underneath you
• Strong communication skills. You'll be estimating and reporting status directly to business stakeholders
• Direct experience with Temporal (workflow orchestration, long running workflows, fault tolerance patterns). If you don't have Temporal specifically, strong experience with another workflow orchestration platform plus solid backend skills works too
• Background in Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Terraform), and observability tooling (CloudWatch, structured logging)
