Senior Full Stack Engineer | New York City | Crypto Trading / DeFi | Up to $225K + Bonus
I'm partnering with a founder-led, crypto trading and technology firm that's building cutting-edge infrastructure across both CeFi and DeFi.
This role offers true end-to-end ownership of their Unified Trading Platform—the internal application used to manage trading bots, configure strategies, monitor risk, and track P&L across multiple trading venues.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and enhance a unified trading platform for bot management, strategy configuration, monitoring, alerts, and P&L reporting.
- Build high-performance frontends using React and TypeScript, displaying live trading data and providing secure configuration workflows.
- Design and maintain backend services using Python (Django or FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery.
- Replace configuration files and command-line workflows with intuitive, UI-driven tooling featuring validation, audit history, and safeguards.
- Take ownership of the performance, reliability, and observability of systems that sit at the heart of trading operations.
What they're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript, and real-time data handling (WebSockets or polling).
- Solid backend development experience using Python, Django or FastAPI, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Redis, Celery, and deploying production applications.
- Someone comfortable owning features across the full stack from concept through deployment.
- Ability to collaborate directly with end users and make UX decisions without dedicated design support.
- Strong communication skills and confidence challenging unclear or risky requirements.
Nice to have: Experience in crypto trading, Kafka, or building internal tools for fast-paced, high-availability environments.
