Senior Full Stack / Backend EngineerSoftware Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Full Stack / Backend Engineer for a full-time assignment with one of our premier media analytics and advertising technology clients. This is a remote position with preference for candidates located in the Tri-State Area. Occasional in-person meetings in New York City may be required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, venture-backed technology company working at the intersection of AdTech, MarTech, analytics, AI, and media measurement.ResponsibilitiesEnhance the platform's reporting, analytics, and performance measurement capabilities across the full stackDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and related technologiesBuild and optimize data processing and automation pipelines for large-scale media and analytics datasetsDevelop real-time analysis and tracking capabilities supporting campaign measurement infrastructureCollaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to architect and implement technical solutionsImprove platform scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency across cloud-native environmentsWork with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including large-scale data storage and retrieval patternsContribute to frontend development initiatives using modern JavaScript frameworks including Vue.jsParticipate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiativesHelp evaluate and implement emerging AI and analytics capabilities leveraging OpenAI and Amazon Bedrock technologiesRequired Skills5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Software Engineer in modern web application environmentsStrong hands-on Python development experienceExperience building scalable APIs and web applicationsExperience with frontend technologies including Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, and REST APIsStrong experience with NoSQL and SQL databases including MongoDB and Snowflake or similar technologiesExperience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and EMRStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and scalable application designExperience working with data processing technologies including Pandas and/or PySparkStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsStrong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teamsPreferred SkillsExperience within AdTech, MarTech, Media Analytics, SaaS, or Digital Measurement platformsExperience with Tornado, TypeScript, Wordpress/PHP, and MarkDocExperience building real-time analytics or tracking platformsExposure to AI/LLM integrations including OpenAI and Amazon BedrockExperience with large-scale reporting and analytics systemsPrior experience in startup or growth-stage technology environmentsTri-State Area location preferred for occasional in-person collaborationSGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
