From factory to foxhole, we operate at the layer where data becomes decisions, and decisions make the advantage.What You'll DoContribute to our Navigator Vue-based frontend applicationBuild robust visual components and page layouts that integrate seamlessly with documented API endpointsModularize and improve our visual design library, which contains shared primitives, css tokens, icon assetsSupport offline Progressive Web App mode for Disconnected OperationsHelp define best practices, continuously improve CI/CD workflows, while keeping DX at the forefront!Craft a rock solid User ExperienceHelp us shape a beautiful, high-powered UI while keeping real-world usability and performance constraints in mindMaintain CI/CD pipeline, and check in well-tested, production-ready codeEnsure our Navigator app provides a consistent, reliable experience on both Desktop and iPadCollaborate and align with cross-functional teammatesWork closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams on rapid feature buildoutsConsistently seek balance between shipping UX feature within scope while aiming for "pixel-perfect" mockup renditionsWhat We're Looking ForGreat problem solverFamiliarity with HTTP request codesAPI request testing experience with tools such as Postman or InsomniaTroubleshoot CORS issuesGreat communicatorAbility to reach across discipline boundaries to help troubleshoot and test newly added API endpointsClear and concise communication, whether it's writing technical documentation or recording a weekly demo of recent work (a Gallatin tradition)Growth mindsetAlways seeing to learn and stay current with industry trends and toolsFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, and high uptime / low latency web applicationsExperience with frontend testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Vitest)Bonus PointsExperience mentoring and upskilling junior engineers.Familiarity with legacy systems and working with public sector customersComfortable setting up CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflowsContributions to open-source projectsMission and IdentityWe are building the system that enables faster, smarter logistics decisions in contested environments, and we're doing it with a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, operators, and technologists who have built and scaled solutions in this space before.
