Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise FPGA-based solutions for low‑latency trading systems
- Implement high-performance data paths, network interfaces, and market data processing pipelines
- Work closely with software engineers and quantitative researchers to translate trading strategies into hardware
- Optimise timing, throughput, and resource utilization across FPGA platforms
- Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to system‑level design
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware/firmware issues in production environments
- Stay current with the latest FPGA tools, techniques, and industry trends
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with FPGA development (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog)
- Proven track record in low‑latency or high‑performance systems
- Experience with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus)
- Solid understanding of digital design, timing analysis, and hardware architecture
- Familiarity with networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/UDP) and high‑speed interfaces
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (logic analyzers, simulation frameworks)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
