nSummary:
nOur client is seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer to support the architecture, design, development, and verification of next-generation Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (Fuzes) utilized within advanced Department of Defense weapon systems. This position will focus on FPGA architecture, Verilog HDL development, SystemVerilog verification, embedded firmware development, and hardware integration activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in FPGA design, embedded systems, digital logic design, hardware verification, and real-time system development. The selected candidate will work with cutting-edge technologies supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense applications while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
nKey Responsibilities:
n(1) FPGA Architecture & Design
nAnalyze system requirements and develop FPGA architectures.
nDesign, implement, and debug FPGA solutions for Electronic Safe and Arm Devices.
nDevelop FPGA logic using Verilog HDL.
nDesign state machines, timer chains, sensor interfaces, communication protocols, ADC/DAC interfaces, and sequence verification logic.
nSupport Microsemi / Actel FPGA development environments.
n(2) Verification & Validation
nDevelop and execute FPGA verification plans.
nPerform functional verification using SystemVerilog methodologies.
nParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and peer reviews.
nConduct simulation, validation, and debugging activities.
n(3) Embedded Systems Development
nDevelop embedded software using C.
nImplement data structures, algorithms, and optimized embedded code.
nSupport microcontroller development and integration activities.
nDevelop and maintain firmware for hardware platforms.
n(4) Hardware Debugging & Integration
nDebug FPGA and embedded hardware designs.
nUtilize: Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Protocol Analyzers, JTAG/ICE Debuggers
nSupport laboratory testing and hardware bring-up activities.
n(5) Process Improvement
nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
nImprove hardware and firmware development methodologies.
nEnsure product quality and accelerated time-to-market.
nEducation: Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience (OR) Master's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience (OR) 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
nRequired Experience:

nStrong Verilog HDL development experience.
