The Role
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade AI systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand complex requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and deploying AI applications from prototype through to production
- Building LLM-powered products, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented systems
- Developing data pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and model improvement processes
- Designing infrastructure to support experimentation, inference, deployment, and monitoring
- Driving architectural decisions across business-critical projects
- Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
- Ensuring system reliability, scalability, security, and performance
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers across the team
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial software engineering experience delivering complex production systems
- Advanced Python development skills with a track record of technical ownership
- Experience building and deploying LLM, generative AI, or machine learning applications
- Strong understanding of data engineering, model evaluation, and scalable infrastructure
- Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve challenging technical problems independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
- Experience operating within highly regulated or technically demanding environments is advantageous
