Responsibilities
- Serve as Senior Technical Resource, Technical Lead and/or Engineer of Record for fish passage and screening infrastructure for water resources, dams and hydropower projects.
- Provide subject matter expert (SME) and technical advisory leadership for fisheries infrastructure.
- Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.
- Mentor and direct developing professionals to guide their execution of work and their career development objectives.
- Manage and/or review team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approaches and challenges.
- Perform quality management on technically complex projects and function as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution. Masters preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience in fish passage and screening engineering for water resources, dams and hydropower projects.
- Existing Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and/or California professional engineer registration (P.E.) or ability to obtain all within 6 months of starting work.
- Experience in the planning, design and construction of fish passage and screening engineering facilities associated with hydraulic structures and hydroelectric power plants.
- Good technical knowledge in elements of fish passage/transport, collection, and screening facilities.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions and develop others to do so.

Demonstrates expertise in fish passage and screening engineering, with a strong focus on project management, technical quality assurance, and mentorship of developing professionals. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and possesses extensive experience in hydraulic structures and hydroelectric power plants.
