Senior Firewall Administrator (Future Opportunity)

We are seeking a Senior Firewall Administrator to oversee the firewall team, plan and manage projects, and ensure efficient resource utilization and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the firewall team, including project planning and management.
- Resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor performance, following government directives.
- Develop requirements from inception to completion under general supervision.
- Maintain knowledge of industry-standard network environments, firewall/security hardware/software, and IA best practices.
- Create specifications for simple to moderately complex issues.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and government representatives to ensure technical accuracy and user satisfaction.
- Deep understanding of LAN and WAN operations.
- Use incident ticket tracking systems for incident management and work orders.
- Comply with DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines, and policies, including IA standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as firewalls and appliances.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship and current DoD Secret clearance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with network environments, firewalls, security hardware/software, and IA practices.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN operations and incident ticket systems.
- Understanding of DoD and DLA security policies.
- Experience with network device installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Certifications
- One of the following: CCSA, CCSE, CCSM.
- One of the following IAT-II certifications: CCNA Security, CYSA+, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP, CASP+CE, CISA, CISSP, CCNP Security.
Additional Details
- This is a remote position within the U.S.
- Salary: $120,000 - $130,000.
This role is part of a future pipeline supporting a DoD customer. Employment depends on contract award and government approval. We encourage current and prospective candidates to express interest.
