Senior Financial Reporting Accountant - LakelandOur Business Analysis & Reporting department is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to provide accounting and analytical support for various financial reporting functions here at Publix.Responsibilities include:Preparing, reviewing and submitting periodic, quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC);Consulting on technical accounting guidance; providing accounting, financial analysis and strategic support for shopping center acquisitions and subsidiaries;Overseeing the preparation of the CFO's presentations and internal financial statements;Performing various financial responsibilities as requested by management.Required qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experienceAt least two (2) years of auditing experienceCertified Public AccountantKnowledge of GAAP, overall accounting standards, general business practices, accounting system functions and financial statementsKnowledge of SEC reporting requirementsAbility to analyze financial statements and dataExcellent communication skills; both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain confidentiality and work independentlyProblem solving and analytical skillsIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft ExcelBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access and PowerPointAbility to manage a fluctuating workload and tight deadlines by working extended hours and/or weekends during critical financial accounting and reporting cyclesPreferred qualifications:Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or MBAFive (5) or more years of relevant business experience, including three (3) or more years of auditing experience with a national accounting firmKnowledge of SAPHours of work: Minimum of 45 hours per week.Frequency of pay: Monthly.Minimum base pay: 6,930.Maximum base pay: 10,400.Potential annual pay with bonus: 90,090 - 135,200.Year end bonus: As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year.
