Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Whitehall, MI
Department: Research & Development Operations / Supporting R&D Operations
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Senior Financial Analyst to support our Research & Development Operations. This role will be responsible for financial analysis, accounting support, reporting, and process improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational results within project accounting and manufacturing accounting systems.
• Oversee accounting system usage, requirements, and administrative controls.
• Manage month-end close and reporting activities, including invoicing, labor reporting, account reconciliations, and coordination of closing entries with internal locations.
• Maintain ownership of inventory accounting and standard costing updates.
• Support capital appropriation processes and fixed asset accounting.
• Extract data and develop reports to support business needs.
• Perform financial analysis and process development for special projects as needed.
• Support annual and quarterly corporate tax reporting.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• MBA is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Experience querying databases.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Cost accounting experience preferred.
