Senior Financial Analyst OpportunityThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for advanced financial analysis, reporting, and accounting functions to support strategic and operational decision-making across North Central Health Care (NCHC). This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintains compliance with regulatory and accounting standards, and provides actionable insights through financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance metrics. This position collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting. This role requires a self-directed, independent contributor capable of leading projects and executing work autonomously while collaborating effectively across the organization.Compensation and benefits include a starting pay range of $75,712 - $82,430, based on education and experience. This position is on-site in Wausau, WI.

As a full-time employee of NCHC, you are eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 7.2% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!What qualifies you:Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredThree or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a closely related field.Experience with ERP, accounting systems and financial reporting tools.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship, including but not limited to visa sponsorship or employment-based immigration support.Preferred:CPA, CMA or progress toward certification preferred.Experience within healthcare, government or public sector.In evaluating candidates for this position, North Central Health Care may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.What a Senior Financial Analyst does at NCHC:Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesAnalyze financial results, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Develop and present financial reports and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-makingAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processesParticipate in internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and work papersSupports compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirementsIdentify financial risks, errors, or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with departments to interpret financial data and improve financial performanceLead or support cross-functional financial projects and system/process improvementsMaintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools to improve accuracy and efficiencyProvide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior accounting/finance staffServe as a financial resource for program managers and leadership across the organizationProvides training, mentorship, and work direction to junior staffPerforms other related duties as assigned.About North Central Health Care:Nestled in the heart of Central Wisconsin, North Central Health Care (NCHC) is a healthcare organization formed over fifty years ago as a partnership between three Central Wisconsin counties - Langlade, Lincoln, and Marathon.
