Senior Financial Analyst

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree, 4-5+ years in an FPA role with manufacturing experience, and strong Excel and communication skills. The Senior Financial Analyst role is a hybrid position and a client direct hire.

Base pay range: $95,000 - $115,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to operational teams by promoting and reinforcing effective business practices across multiple sites within a defined region. Contribute to the sharing and adoption of financial best practices across the broader organization.
  • Support the month‑end close process and review monthly financial performance and key metrics in partnership with operations leaders. Identify performance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Contribute to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for regional operations. Evaluate plans and forecasts for alignment with strategic objectives and operational feasibility, and provide guidance to regional leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards across regional operations.
  • Coordinate and support readiness for internal and external audits at operating locations.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial analyses and perform additional duties as assigned.

Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree or professional certification strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in financial roles, preferably within an operational or manufacturing environment.
  • Broad experience across core areas of financial management and business control.
  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with common financial systems and enterprise resource planning tools, as well as advanced spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with strong overall business judgment.
  • Proven project management and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in improving processes and developing financial analyses that deliver actionable business insights.
  • Effective collaborator who partners with finance and operations leaders to promote accountability, engagement, and a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, complex, and highly matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
