Senior Financial Analyst

Financial AnalystMaas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a self-motivated, organized financial analyst who enjoys working in Excel to join the Finance department and work in the FP&A team. The position requires someone willing to develop a high level of excel knowledge that will be used to turn large historical and operational data sets into insightful information in the form of financial models, proformas, graphs, and quantitative tables. This will include analyzing investment opportunities, conducting cost analysis and reviewing past project performance to better inform forecasting models, and then building or updating project forecasting tools for multiple departments within the Company. The ideal candidate will have a high level of interest in Excel, enjoy being detailed oriented, want to be consistently learning, be able to demonstrate effective data visualization skills, and possess excellent written communication skills.Responsibilities include:Update, maintain, and develop existing financial forecasts and data sets for operational projectsTroubleshoot existing financial models to find ways to improve functionality, find errors, and reduce file sizeCollaborate with Executive, Sales, and Project Development team members to construct and update project budgets, conduct performance forecasts, and analyze new investment opportunitiesResearch revenue and fundraising markets to inform new and existing financial forecastsCompile, analyze, and visualize large data sets to improve existing models to increase accuracy in predictionsMentor and support junior analysts on financial modeling best practices and analysis techniquesQualifications and skills include:High level of proficiency in Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated experience in handling large data sets, financial planning, forecasting, and business case developmentStrong analytical thinking and attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple prioritiesHigh level of written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as within a team environmentBachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics is a plusAt least 4 years' experience in an Analyst/Senior Analyst or Financial related positionMust be proficient in EnglishThe position is located in-office at the Company Headquarters in Redding, CA (no remote applications)Other duties may include:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
