Senior Financial Analyst – Real EstateChicago, IL (hybrid WFH, 3 days onsite in the loop, 2 days WFH)As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be joining a team of financial professionals responsible for real estate investment opportunity analysis, underwriting, monthly/quarterly investment performance reporting, asset management performance analysis, budgeting, reforecasting, etc. You'll be responsible for preparing, analyzing and presenting reports around this type of real estate analysis. If you are passionate about real estate (experience not required), unlocking value through financial analysis and enjoy interacting with executive stakeholders to present your findings, come join us today!What You'll Be DoingAggregating and analyzing monthly real estate performance analysis through reporting: Includes extracting and aggregating portfolio data; preparing summary spreadsheets, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics; highlighting notable issues and trends; and developing meaningful and insightful commentaryPreparation and review quarterly Board materials: work with team on high profile deliverable presented to Blackstone senior real estate leadership team at the quarterly board meetingUnderwrite real estate opportunities in collaboration with the managersParticipate in the annual budget and reforecast processes: develop unit renovation and common area budgets; utilize budgeting templates and tools to develop initial budget; work interactively with various real estate teams to finalize the budget; prepare summary reports and communicate to executive leadership teamAssist the real estate teams in developing short, medium, and long-term strategies for each propertyAdminister training to operating partners on use of renovation systems and processesCreate and maintain financial and operational dashboards to better assist the asset management, pricing, and marketing teamsVigilantly and proactively participate in continual process improvement initiativesDevelop processes that save time while maintaining the highest quality standards, design data rich and aesthetically pleasing, leverage internal and external resources to efficiently achieve goalsPrepare ad-hoc analyses for upper level managementSkills We're SeekingBachelor's Degree, preferably in a finance, accounting or real estate focused field1+ year of experience with Financial Analysis experienceExperience preparing financial reports, and providing recommendations based on your analysisExperience interacting with and presenting findings to executive stakeholdersMust have strong Excel skillsMust have at least decent PowerPoint skills to assemble presentations of your financial analysisNice To Have ExperienceExperience with Power BI (what we mainly use) or other reporting/dashboard development tools such as TableauSQL experienceReal estate experience
