Senior Financial Analyst

Senior Financial AnalystAs a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work for a company that invests in ways to tell stories, view trends, and diagnose results in a more compelling and visual nature. Senior Financial Analysts perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements and frequently build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiencesGeneral Responsibilities:Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) managementCollaborate with system analysts to maintain and develop system to house modelsCoordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output dataBusiness presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teamsAd-hoc requests and special projectsIndependently manage and prioritize workloadBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 2 years' experience in financial analysisAt least 2 years' experience with financial modelingPreferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in FinanceChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license3+ years' experience in financial analysis3+ years' experience with financial modelingExperience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPointThis role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Chicago, IL: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystMcLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystRichmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Financial AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
