Position Summary:
Penn Foster’s Financial Planning & Analysis team provides quantitative, analytical support for business decision-making. Members act as ambassadors to business leaders, linking strategic and operational planning. The Senior Financial Analyst, a key FP&A team member, will have high visibility with senior management and contribute to financial management. Responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, establishing financial plans, supporting business decisions, partnering cross-functionally, and enhancing FP&A tools and processes. We seek a bright, high-energy individual eager to make an immediate impact.
Essential Job Functions:
- Partner with executives and department leads to create annual budgets and reforecasts.
- Collaborate with the VP and Director of FP&A on implementing scalable budgeting and forecasting tools.
- Develop dashboards and analytical tools for measuring financial performance and providing insights.
- Perform variance analysis of actual results versus budget to identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure the integrity of FP&A data and manage reporting improvements.
- Participate in financial modeling for strategic projections.
- Create and analyze product line performance and profitability trends.
- Perform other ad hoc analyses as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA / MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant financial or FP&A experience.
- 2+ years of financial modeling experience.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Knowledge of FP&A reporting platforms a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with D365 or other ERP platforms a plus.
