Based in Los Angeles and reporting to the VP of Corporate FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, analyses, and insights to enhance decision-making. The team has responsibility for budgeting and management reporting for each function, including development of annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts, monthly variance analysis, capital planning, and other ad hoc reporting and analysis. Departments supported include:CFO Corporate Groups: Information Technology, Finance, Global Real Estate and Facilities, Procurement, Information Security and Administrative ServicesPeople & OperationsGeneral Counsel GroupsStrategy and Corporate DevelopmentCorporate CommunicationsResponsibilities:Assist with the preparation of financial budgets, quarterly forecasts, and mid-range plans with primary focus on providing financial analysis and insightsSupport continual improvement of budget and forecasting processes to enhance data-driven decision-makingAssist with the preparation of timely and accurate monthly/quarterly financial results presentations; review actual performance relative to budgets and forecasts and prepare supporting variance analyses with a focus on commercial and operating driversPartner with accounting team to improve availability and flow of informationMaintain reports and datasets in SAP-based planning solutionsDeliver ad hoc financial analyses and modeling to support the needs of the businessDemonstrate a strong understanding of the business and proactively engage with partners to support their objectivesDemonstrate strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills for executive audiencesQualifications:Above all, we are looking for an exceptional individual with strong intellectual, critical thinking, decision making, humility, honesty, and analytical and financial skills. Ideally, you will have spent a portion of your career in a financial role supporting corporate or centralized support departments, preferably in the media and entertainment industry.More specifically, you should meet most the following requirements:At least 4years of FP&A experienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or EconomicsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience building/enhancing financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, investment decisions, and business case developmentAbility to translate complex financial and operational information into clear, concise insights for business leaders and non-financial stakeholdersAbility to identify trends, risks, and opportunities through rigorous analysis and develop actionable recommendations to support decision-makingExperience with Enterprise planning systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, etc.)Change agent adept at successfully challenging the status quoCritical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate effectively with senior operational and financial managementAdvanced Excel skills (e.g., index/match, data tables, etc.)Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projectsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with leveraging AI to drive process automation and improvementMBA and/or CPA preferredMedia/entertainment industry experienceThe anticipated base salary for this position is $79,200-$99,000.
