Senior Financial Analyst
A fast-growing, highly-acquisitive company in the energy sector located in downtown Chicago with 30 acquisitions in the past 15 years is looking for a new SFA!
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, variance analysis and trend analysis
- Partner with Operations and use KPIs to drive financial performance
- Present financials to the board and investors
- Work alongside treasury to define cash demands
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Aggregate investor financial performance data
- Provide support for acquisition target analysis, including: creating financial models, discounted cash flows (DCF) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations
- Evaluating purchase price and deal funding structure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar
- 3 to 10 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
- Excel Modelling skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proficiency in enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) with a proven track record of constructing complex measures, dynamic dashboards, and using data transformation tools (e.g., Power Query) to prepare data for analysis
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) is a plus.
