We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.The Field Service Technician Level 2 will be responsible for start-up and commissioning of projects, preventative maintenance, and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites. Product specific training will be provided. Will interact with customers.Xylem is seeking mechanically inclined professionals who are passionate about hands-on work and problem-solving. If you are driven by innovation, service, and making a real impact, we invite you to bring your skills to our team as a Field Service Technician.Core responsibilities include:Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumpsTroubleshooting of electrical control panelsGeneral understanding of schematics and wiring diagramsPerform start-ups and train customers on the equipmentPreventative maintenance and emergency calloutsOperating and maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggersOperating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.Working with various Company provided hand and power toolsAccurate record keeping inside Xylem's work order management systemCreate and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locationsTake care of company propertyDemonstrates High Impact culture through innovation, accountability and empowermentMust be able to function in a team environmentWork independentlyQualifications:HS diploma or equivalent2 to 5 years of technical/mechanical work experienceExperience with water/wastewater systems is a plusAble to pass background check & pre-employment drug screenSkill requirements:Electrically and mechanically inclinedDemonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting abilityComprehend technical information and communicate it clearlyExperience with Microsoft Office and smart devicesLeadership skills:Proactively seeks feedback from peers, team members, and managerApplies new knowledge and tech to improve outcomes within teamIdentifies and mitigates risksBreaks down problems effectively and leverages RCAPrioritizes team's and organization's needs over selfOwning executionDelegates effectively to empower teams to growConsiders Xylem-wide implications of decisionsPerforms strongly under pressure or in face of challengesFocuses on long-term goals despite setbacks or failuresHas an effective personal operating modelLeads change with optimismThe estimated salary range for this position starts at $33/hourly. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
