As a Senior Executive Chef, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals while leading culinary operations across a dynamic campus environment.In this role, you will drive excellence in food quality, innovation, and operational performance—ensuring all culinary offerings are on-trend, efficient, safe, and executed to the highest standards. You'll oversee menu development, inventory and purchasing, food cost controls, and the hiring, training, and development of culinary team members.Key ResponsibilitiesSet and maintain high culinary standards across retail dining, board meals, and catering operationsLead, train, and inspire the local culinary team to deliver exceptional resultsChampion Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including sustainability, seasonality, and health & wellness programsAnalyze operational performance and trends, implementing strategies for continuous improvementEnsure a deep understanding of daily menu offerings and confidently communicate details to customers and stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsCulinary degree preferredBachelor's degree in Food Services Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred3–5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experienceProven experience planning and managing catering eventsStrong leadership presence with a passion for developing teamsComprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, and cost controlsProficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based toolsExcellent communication skills across all levels of the organizationServSafe® Certification requiredAt Chartwells, you'll be part of an industry leader dedicated to innovation, quality, and creating outstanding dining experiences on campus.
