Provides responsive service to residents, staff, and elected officials, and acts as lead office support over lower-level clerical staff. The position is salaried and generally follows a 35-hour, four-day work week, however, the nature of the position may require attendance at some infrequent evening or after-hours meetings and events.Core ResponsibilitiesExecutive Support: Compiles, composes, and distributes agendas, notices, resolutions, and packets for Town Council, boards, and committees. Attends meetings to record notes.Office & Schedule Management: Manages the Town Manager's calendar and travel.
Oversees daily office operations, supplies, and clerical functions.Public Liaison: Serves as primary contact for residents, business owners, and outside agencies to address and resolve inquiries.Digital & Budget Support: Serves as Town Webmaster, managing site content and staff training. Assists with annual budget preparation and coordinates legal eviction procedures per State Statutes.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Associate's degree in secretarial science, business, or related field.Experience: 5+ years of increasingly responsible office management or secretarial experience, senior level experience preferred. (An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training will be considered).Key Skills & Physical RequirementsSkills: Knowledge of modern office practices, web platforms, and records management; strong prioritization, communication, and multi-tasking abilities.Physical: Ability to sit/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, operate computer equipment, read reports, and communicate clearly.How To ApplyApplications will be accepted on-line through 4:00PM, Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
