Senior Estimator

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates across a variety of construction projects. This role will work closely with the preconstruction and project teams, contributing to all phases of the estimating process while ensuring cost accuracy and supporting successful bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Hard Bid, Design-Build, and Conceptual projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and other contract documentation.
• Complete accurate quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive pricing breakdowns.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitive and complete pricing.
• Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope, pricing, and technical requirements.
• Assist in developing bid packages, estimate summaries, bid analyses, and general conditions pricing.
• Support the preparation and submission of competitive project proposals.
• Develop preliminary project schedules to support the estimating process.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and project teams on a range of estimating and cost planning activities.
• Undertake additional estimating and preconstruction responsibilities as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related construction discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience within commercial construction estimating, with exposure to Hard Bid, Design-Build, and Conceptual estimating methodologies.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, quantity take-offs, and estimating principles.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and manage project cost data effectively.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general construction technology platforms.
• Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and industry best practices.
• Experience with scheduling or design software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively within fast-paced project environments while meeting critical deadlines.
