Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for structural steel, superstructure, concrete, and miscellaneous metal projects, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project planning from bidding through award.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in structural steel, superstructure, and concrete estimating, understands fabrication, structural, and construction processes, and can work independently while managing multiple bids and deadlines.
This is a hybrid position based in the Bronx and may lead to long-term growth opportunities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, superstructure, and concrete drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel, superstructure, concrete, and miscellaneous metal projects
- Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing
- Coordinate pricing with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Analyze labor, fabrication, erection, and concrete installation costs
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals
- Assist with project budgeting and cost tracking
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and architects
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel, superstructure, or concrete estimating
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection, concrete, and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret structural, concrete, and architectural drawings
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of NYC, construction practices and codes is preferred
- Experience with takeoff software and bid platforms is a plus
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related experience preferred

- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete scopes, structural support systems, and construction sequencing
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Strong negotiation and vendor coordination skills

- Experienced in using estimation softwares
