We are seeking a Senior Estimator who has 7+ years of experience estimating heavy industrial, healthcare, commercial, and institutional mechanical construction projects. The purpose of this position is to lead all preconstruction and estimating activities while supporting business development and mentoring estimating staff.
The ideal candidate would describe him/herself as a fast learner who is customer-focused, self-motivated, detail-oriented, conscientious, resourceful, and trustworthy.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or similar preferred
- 7+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience
- Working knowledge of estimating software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems
General Responsibilities:
- Leads estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through bid submission.
- Reviews drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepares material, labor, and equipment takeoffs and estimates.
- Manages subcontractor and vendor pricing activities.
- Develops value engineering recommendations and identifies project risks.
- Coordinates proposal preparation and bid submissions.
- Supports project turnover and mentors estimating staff.
- Builds relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
