About the Role
Own Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims from investigation through resolution in a healthcare environment.
You’ll assess coverage and exposure, direct defense counsel, negotiate settlements, and advise senior leadership on significant claims and risk trends.
What You’ll Do
Manage EPL claims from investigation through resolution
Analyze coverage, liability, and financial exposure
Direct outside defense counsel and litigation strategy
Negotiate settlements and claim resolutions
Handle cases involving mediation, arbitration, and trial as needed
Report significant claims and risk trends to leadership
Coordinate with reinsurers and identify loss-prevention opportunities
What We’re Looking For
10+ years in EPL, employment law, insurance, or risk management
Direct EPL claims experience or experience defending EPL matters as an attorney
Strong knowledge of claims and litigation lifecycle
Experience managing outside defense counsel
Strong negotiation, legal, and risk assessment skills
Experience presenting claims/exposure to executive leadership
Bachelor’s degree
Healthcare experience preferred
D&O or professional liability experience preferred
