Senior Environmental EngineerLocation: Stuart, FL.Job Summary: PSM EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team and support business development and growth, and management of complex environmental projects in the Jupiter and Stuart areas. This is not a Safety Management centric role as it focuses heavily on Environmental Compliance functions. This position will report directly to PSM's Global EHS Manager and will work within the PSM EHS Management System and strategy while implementing local strategy and tactics to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, Customer, and company environmental requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Works closely with all business partners and external stakeholders to support and ensure full implementation of and compliance with environmental requirements. Maintains relationships with external environmental regulators.Supports development, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS Management System, as well as environmental policies and programs, in accordance with the requirements of FDEP, EPA, ISO 14001, customers, and other regulatory agencies, standards, codes.Ensures and assists operations with the proper identification, characterization, accumulation, storage, labeling, and recycling/treatment/disposal of all waste streams (hazardous, secondary, universal, other), waste records (e.g.

analysis, inspection, shipment/disposal records), and the review. Ensures implementation of waste sampling plan.Maintains an environmental aspect and impact analysis matrix, defines controls and reviews on a regular basis.Maintains EHS Environmental KPIs including but not limited to; Direct and Indirect Emissions (tCO2E), Waste Generation, Natural Resource Consumption, and more. Prepares reports and develops Env KPI Dashboard.Maintains and ensures the implementation of the SWPPP, SPCC, HazWaste Contingency Plans, and Integrated Emergency Action Plans.Prepares and updates EHS Risk Assessments applicable to Environmental aspects.Prepares and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of Environmental reports to authorities (e.g. Tier II, TRI, IWW, AOR, etc.), renewal of associated permits and authorizations (Hazardous Waste, Wellfield, IWW, Air, NPDES, etc.).Reviews requests for new chemicals and maintain the database of approved chemicals and SDSs.Ensures the proper maintenance and implementation of the IH sampling plan by assisting in the collection of samples, preparing reports and notifications, and communicating findings and results.Ensures continuity of the EHS Management of Change process by reviewing and providing EHS guidance for facility, equipment, and process changes.Works closely with business partners to ensure proper reporting, investigation, and documentation of all environmental events and monitors implementation of corrective actions.Maintains and ensures compliance with environmental aspects of the PSM risk management program.Assist in the development of environmental training curriculum for employees, temporary employees and contractors: Assists in defining training requirements and ensures compliancePlans, conducts, and/or facilitates environmental related training or arranges 3rd party training in cooperation with the relevant departments as applicable.Maintains the emergency preparedness program and ensures regular training for all potential situations.

Conducts environmental tabletop drills for varying environmental impact scenarios.Provides input for project specific EHS plans. Analyzes customer specifications regarding environmental requirements, maintains customer qualification platforms and supports EHS related customer requests.Works with Supply Chain and all relevant departments to ensure proper EHS qualification of environmental contractors and their compliance with EHS requirements. Performs periodic audits and site visits to ensure compliance.Participates as the primary contact for PSM in environmental regulatory inspections and reports inspection results to management.Support internal and external audits and ensures the timely closure of action itemsEnsures completeness and correctness of EHS environmental records.Reports to Management and to the entire organization on the performance of the environmental aspects of the EHS management system.Provides expertise, coaching, advice, and execution support to PSM in all environmental compliance related areas.Performs other tasks as directed by management.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Policy, or a related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Geology, or Engineering preferred, however candidates with 5+ years of equivalent and relevant work experience will be considered.HAZWOPER or HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification preferredCHMM Certification preferredMust complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training MatrixSkills/Experience:Excellent knowledge of and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing environmental aspects, i.e. waste management, emissions, regulatory reporting, emergency responseExperience with digital EHS Management SystemsExperience in an industrial manufacturing environment with responsibility for Environmental aspects and impactsExperience in a field service/construction environment with responsibility for Environmental aspectsExperience in the collection of environmental samples for lab analyticsProven knowledge of and ability to interpret and correctly apply current federal and state regulations, standards, and codes.Proven knowledge of the ISO 14001 standardsProven knowledge and experience in RCRA Hazardous Waste ManagementExperience presenting EHS topics to peers, higher management, and customers.Excellent interpersonal and communication and influencing skills with a strong commitment to customer service.Act independently, demonstrating initiative, ownership and accountabilityDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point.Able and willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.Personality & ability to work within a multi-cultural environment in fast-paced work environments with multiple and shifting priorities.Physical Requirements:Must, without the aid of assistance, be able to; stoop/crouch, kneel, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs., grasp, and perform repetitive motion.The candidate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.The candidate is subject to noise.

There is sufficient noise to cause the personnel to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.The candidate is subject to hazards.
