SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will be required to bring your Environmental Engineering experience into play as you support existing environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Execute engineering tasks in support of key projects/programs, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs, Remedial Actions, and post-remediation OM&M.
- Provide engineering support for the remediation of contaminated soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater involving remedies such as excavation, capping, containment, in-situ and ex-situ treatment and subsurface vapor mitigation.
- Coordinate the development and finalization of technical documents (e.g., regulatory reports, work plans, remedial design plans and specifications, construction completion reports, permit applications, etc.) pursuant to regulatory requirements.
- Provide project support with the development of scopes of work, planning, and implementation of routine tasks including, but not limited to, soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling efforts.
- Assist in the development of project execution strategies and interact with existing and prospective clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Possession, eligibility or interest in obtaining PE license and/or LSRP.
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date 8-hour refresher.
- Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations including ISRA, TRSR and ARRCS, and technical guidance. Familiarity with other local, State (e.g., PADEP, NYSDEC) and federal (USEPA) agencies/regulations a plus.
- Experience with both conventional and innovative remediation technologies and developing and implementing Pre-Design Investigations and Remedial Design documents (regulatory and technical/contractual).
