Senior Enterprise ArchitectLocation: Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MASalary Range: $130,000-$150,000 annually depending on experience, certifications, and qualificationsJob Status: Full-timeClearance: SecretTravel: As NeededAstriom has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Enterprise Architect located at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA providing support to the Aerospace Management Division (ESA).The Aerospace Management Systems Division programs develops, delivers, and sustains air traffic management and landing systems, CNS/ATM avionics expertise, and weather sensing/forecast capabilities enabling military and civil customers to achieve their mission.Required Qualifications/SkillsEducation: Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience, five years of which must be in the DoD or Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience, five of which must be in the DoD or 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoDClearance: Must have an ACTIVE Secret ClearanceResponsibilitiesThe candidate will provide Enterprise Architect support that will perform work involving the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Develops reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repositoryDetermines the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architectureRecommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architectureIdentifies opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologiesPromotes and educates customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architectureProvides enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teamsDocuments the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniquesEnsures technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviewsEvaluates the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomesCoordinates and conducts governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed componentsPerforms an interfacing function, on behalf of the Government engineers, with the design and implementation engineers and architects, so that any problems arising during design or implementation can be resolved IAW the fundamental design concepts, and user needs and constraintsEnsures that a maximally robust design is developmentAssists in generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test engineers, and the user, which determine that all of the high-level requirements have been met, especially for the computer-human-interfaceAssists in ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsoleteProvides systems engineering and support technical evaluations and analysis and document development and reviewProvides recommendations regarding the establishment and composition of services and capabilitiesProvides recommendations to align the enterprise architecture product(s) development with industry and Government technology best practices, standards and specificationsProvides engineering support to continually assess impacts of new standards on enterprise software design and implementationConducts technical exchange sessions supporting enterprise architecture and design including technical exchanges with enterprise community stakeholdersConducts user site visits, telecons, and other direct and indirect support for tasks as directedEnsures that architecture and standards development activities support implementable products and functionalityTranslates emerging and accepted architecture standards into backlog use case descriptions and support understanding of new requirements as part of the agile development process including but not limited to test driven development, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelineExperience working directly with modern software applications, products, and intel toolsProblem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines
