Senior Engineering ManagerA leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead Engineering, Reliability, and Maintenance operations within a high-volume 24/7 manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role is responsible for driving plant reliability, operational efficiency, capital project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and facility operations.The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in engineering and maintenance management within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting, along with a proven track record of improving equipment reliability, supporting plant operations, and leading cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Engineering, Reliability, and Maintenance functions in a 24/7 manufacturing operationManage and develop engineering, reliability, and maintenance teams, including direct leadership of managers and engineersPartner closely with Operations, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectivesDrive continuous improvement initiatives including Gemba walks, 5S, Kaizen, and operational excellence programsDevelop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs while tracking key performance metricsLead capital investment projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, and expansion initiativesEnsure smooth transition of projects from installation and commissioning into full production operationsEstablish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providersEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, and all applicable regulatory standardsManage departmental budgets and capital expendituresSupport technical training and professional development programs for engineering and maintenance teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline requiredMinimum 10 years of engineering and manufacturing experience within a 24/7 industrial environmentPrevious leadership experience managing engineering, maintenance, or reliability teamsStrong project management experience supporting capital projects and manufacturing improvementsExperience with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms requiredKnowledge of industrial utility systems, including:BoilersCompressorsChillersCooling TowersHVAC SystemsHeat ExchangersPollution Control EquipmentExperience in web converting, paper/pulp converting, packaging, or other high-speed manufacturing environments preferredFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesAutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience preferredAdditional RequirementsAbility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilitiesLimited travel required, including occasional international travelAbility to complete required safety and HazWoper trainingWork EnvironmentIndustrial manufacturing environmentCombination of office and production floor responsibilitiesExposure to manufacturing equipment, noise, and industrial systemsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the production floor
