The ideal candidate will help us grow our practice in Sonoma, Mendocino, and the nearby counties. They look for creative professionals to work collaboratively with the rest of the team on multidisciplinary projects.
The Senior Engineering Geologist/Senior Geologist will apply geological/geotechnical knowledge and training to design creative solutions for our clients’ problems. This position will also have senior project management duties that include scheduling and managing projects and their budgets. They will be expected to prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, analyses, and technical reports.
They will work independently and alongside various members of the team on complex projects, as well as mentoring and leading junior staff and will be expected to maintain working relationships with regular communication and responsiveness.Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years related experience in Northern CaliforniaCEG license preferred; however, PG is acceptable with adequate experienceBS/BA in Geology or Engineering GeologyStrong fundamental knowledge of the principles of engineering geology, geomorphology, and structural geology, especially focusing on Sonoma and Mendocino countiesTechnical experience in planning and supervising geological and geotechnical projects; feasibility studies and reports; foundation suitability analyses; and slope stability evaluationWorking knowledge of California Building Code, ASFE 7-16, CGS Note 48, risk management, contract documents, cost estimating, and schedulingAdministrative experience in project management; being a technical leader and/or task leader for variety of projects, including multi-disciplinary; budget and schedule management; and proposal preparationStrong leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSuperior interpersonal skillsEmissary, its affiliates and its clients, are Equal Opportunity Employers supporting diversity in the workplace.
