Senior Software EngineerThe USRM Servicing Technology group is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer for a team in our Automation portfolio. In this role you will work within an Agile delivery team to provide automated solutions using UiPath, AWS and AI.This is a hybrid role requiring two days in the office a week. Only open to U.S. based employees. Will consider candidates with less experience.
In this role, you would:Design, develop, and support UiPath RPA bots that integrate with multiple systems to deliver scalable back-office automations for our Distribution and Service groupsCreate innovative AI-driven solutions using UiPath IXP or AWS Bedrock to enhance business processes and solve complex challengesDevelop effective, defect free source code meeting business requirements and Liberty standardsTroubleshoot infrastructure and software problems, take appropriate corrective action and/or interact with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functionsInteract with other teams, your Product Owner and Stakeholders to understand and define user stories at a deep technical levelPlan work out appropriately, proactively escalate issues that may impact scope, schedule, and budgetParticipate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, demos, retros, etc.)Mentor new and junior developersIdentify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunitiesParticipate in remediation efforts during incident management events and/or provides consultative recommendations on viable resolutionsMonitor system performance, capacity and cost and report changesPreferred skills:Strong experience with UiPath and AWS servicesExperience with AI services and coding assistants, e.g., UiPath IXP, AWS Bedrock and GitHub CopilotExperience with API development using NodeJS and TypeScript/JavaScriptStrong experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testingStrong experience with application observability tools, e.g., Datadog, Splunk and CloudWatchUiPath, AWS or comparable certifications a plus3 years' minimum experience with UiPathQualifications:A minimum of five years of software engineering experienceA background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business ITA history of translating client requirements into technical designsAgile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindsetCollaboration, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to manage time and prioritize work with a globally distributed development teamStrong oral and written communication skills - and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineersA thorough grasp of IT concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards, shared software concepts and layered solutions and designsProficiency in software engineering languages and tools spanning horizontal and vertical packagesAn understanding of how modifications affect different parts of a system and an ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineersA bachelor's or master's degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent experienceEmployees may apply for a new role after completing 12 months of employment in their current position.Employees should review all role requirements and apply only for positions for which they are eligible.
