Job TitleTest Infrastructure EngineerJob DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:Improve existing Test Infrastructure capability and capacity in the factoryDevelop and deploy new Test Infrastructure in the factoryDevelop and deploy custom Test Infrastructure for R&DContinuously (24/7) maintain new and existing Test Infrastructure in the factorySetup & improve material flow process through the Test Infrastructure in the factorySupport the Test Infrastructure requirements for multiple product teams simultaneouslyDevelop, execute, and analyze DOEsDevelop and maintain Test Infrastructure via SPC and other techniquesDevelop, improve, and maintain Test & Process SOP and OCAP documentationProvide Test Equipment & Process related training to operators & techniciansFrequently analyze and report on Tool health, Process health, and Project statusDevelop calibration and validation routines for Test EquipmentMeet and improve upon Test related KPI goalsOwnership and accountability of Test Infrastructure and Performance in the factoryFrequently present verbal and written updates and reports to upper managementWork closely with cross-functional teams and ensure project and product successesInterfacing and reporting to internal and external customers on projectsEducation & Experience:Minimum 2 yr. semiconductor, analog, or similar Test and Measurement experienceMS or equivalent degree, PhD preferredHigh volume manufacturing experience strongly preferredSkills:In-depth knowledge of optics, mechanics, and electronics theoryExcellent laboratory skills using high speed test equipment such as network analyzers, pattern generators, oscilloscopes, error detectors, micrometers, microscopes, etc.Cursory knowledge of programming or scripting languagesQuick learner with abstract and foreign conceptsGreat self-management & prioritization skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong reporting, logging, and documentation skillsStrong direct ownership of projects and ability to successfully complete them within cross-functional teamsHigh proficiency with MS Office suite and similar softwareExperience with popular mathematical, engineering, and statistical software packagesDemonstrated decision making based on data and statisticsAbility to support a 24/7 manufacturing environmentMust be a self-starter, able to work in high stress environmentStrong interpersonal/teaming skills to able to effectively collaborate with other cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve business unit and organizational objectives.Demonstrated good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsAbility to juggle many tasks simultaneously and continually report on progressWorking Conditions:This position will support 24/7 factory operations inside a cleanroomSome days may be spent nearly entirely on the cleanroom floor in cleanroom attireSome days may be spent nearly entirely sitting at cubicle deskMust be a self-starter, able to work in high physical and mental stress environmentMust be able to work from incomplete/non-existent documentation and instructionsHoliday/nights/weekends work may be necessary depending on project/production deadlinesPhysical Requirements:Includes working on mechanical systems within a production cleanroom and/or labIncludes working with laptops & desktops within a production cleanroom and/or cubicleRequires bending at the waist and/or kneesRequires leaning/reaching into mechanical systemsRequires bundling/unbundling cabling on the floorRequires lifting up to 50lbRequires using microscopes and other metrology toolsRequires working in full cleanroom attire including laser safety gogglesSafety Requirements:All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
