Senior Civil EngineerThe City of Pasco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to lead the delivery of critical capital projects across the city. If you have a background in water/wastewater utilities, transportation/traffic, or general civil engineering design, we invite you to bring your expertise to a city that values innovation, service, and professional growth.As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a lead role in delivering public works construction projects — including streets, utilities, and treatment facilities — from concept to completion. You'll serve as project engineer, overseeing consultant selection, contract negotiation, and full project delivery.
Responsibilities include preparing detailed plans, specifications, estimates, and bid documents, as well as managing project budgets and schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely outcome.Excellent benefits including a sign-on bonus of up to $8,000, dependent on qualifications/experience.Relocation assistance of up to $5,000, for candidates who are not local to the area.Hybrid schedule available.This position is within the Capital Improvement Program Division, leading key infrastructure efforts to support the city's current and future needs.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related fieldSeven (7) years of progressively responsible engineering experience (four years at the professional level)Valid Washington State driver's licenseProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Washington upon hire, or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 monthsThe City offers a full benefits package for the employee and all eligible dependents covered at low premiums including:Medical coverage is available at tiered monthly rates based on plan selection and coverage level.
