Senior Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer and project leader looking for an opportunity to make an impact in your community? South Tahoe Public Utility District (STPUD) is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead complex, multidisciplinary public works projects and provide leadership to our engineering team.

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous engineering leadership and supervisory experience.
• Experience managing or leading public works projects.
• Strong project management and project engineering experience.
• Experience with planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction management, and budgeting.
• Experience managing consultants and coordinating with staff, agencies, engineers, contractors, businesses, and the public.
• Previous knowledge or experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is highly desirable.

What you'll do:

• Under general direction, the Senior Engineer performs professional engineering duties as a Project Manager and Project Engineer for complex multidisciplinary public works projects. This position also provides leadership, management, and direct supervision for professional and technical engineering staff.

Required registration:

California Civil Engineer registration is required.

Salary: $144,803.97 – $184,810.63 annually, DOQ
