Job Description

  • Be a significant contributor to a worldclass Interior Components and Systems engineering team
  • Create industryleading Interior Components and Systems with groundbreaking luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, ergonomics and functionality
  • Contribute to the packaging, engineering, release, and launch of Interior Components and Systems
  • Work collaboratively within a crossfunctional marketing, design and vehicle engineering team, prioritizing overall vehicle benefit above individual systems
  • Collaborate with interior trim suppliers to ensure technical excellence and ontime delivery Interior Components and Systems
  • Employ and develop effective tools and innovative approaches to support product development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience as a detailoriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (e.g., hard trim, soft trim, IP, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive interior components and systems, industry benchmarks, trends, and supplier capabilities
  • Experience creating, improving, or establishing technical product specifications and timelines to support accelerated development toward SOP
  • Proficiency in CAD for 2D/3D concept drawings, interior components and systems, packaging layouts, and DFM studies (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
  • Vehicle and product launch experience
  • Experience completing one full program cycle from concept to production launch in automotive interior components and systems
  • Profound knowledge of vehicle interior systems with a demonstrable track record of technical excellence and program execution
  • Strong understanding of plastic part design, structural performance, manufacturing technologies, craftsmanship, ergonomics, safety and homologation requirements
  • Competency in materials selection, plastic injection molding/DFM and GD&T
  • A practical, hands‑on approach that complements theoretical knowledge
  • Exceptional technical abilities paired with excellent communication skills
