JOB DESCRIPTION

The OT Compute Support Engineer supports and governs Operational Technology OT compute environments across manufacturing and plant sites. The role focuses on OT servers and compute infrastructure operating in DMZ and controlled zones adhering to strict security, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support OT compute infrastructure servers and related components in DMZ plant environments
  • Perform operational support activities including health checks, monitoring, incident resolution, and service requests
  • Perform operating system patching for servers following the approved process
  • Work closely with OT Security, Network, Backup, Database, and Compliance teams
  • Support inventory management process
  • Support backup verification activities and coordinate with Backup Storage teams
  • Operate under restricted access models – no direct access to lower-level control networks such as DCS
  • Adhere to OT security governance policies and SOPs
  • Support annual OT compliance reviews, audits, and vulnerability assessments
  • Track compliance evidence using approved tools
  • Manage OT compute incidents, changes, and requests using ITSM processes
  • Create and maintain KCDs, SOPs, and governance documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and site services teams as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting OT/ICS compute environments in manufacturing or plant settings
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS in OT environments
  • Understanding of DMZ-based architectures and restricted access models
  • Familiarity with backup validation and coordination for OT systems
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change
  • Experience supporting security audits, compliance reviews, and vulnerability assessments
