- Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of geotechnical projects and clients
- Perform and/or lead field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations
- Design and develop plans and specifications
- Conduct observation and inspection and prepare, write, and review related reports
- Review drawings and construction for compliance with plans and specifications
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates
- Track and evaluate project progress and budgets and recommend changes
- Research and resolve design and construction problems
- Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports
- Communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
- Lead safety efforts and promote pre-task planning
- Monitor and improve project quality and manage project-related risk
- Provide technical direction for routine, unique, and complex projects
- Conceptualize initial designs or investigative approaches for major project phases
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work
- Review complex investigation projects and supervise analysis and recommendations in client reports
- Lead technical training
- Provide leadership in marketing, sales, and business development
- Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support personnel
- Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer after training and vetting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 8-11 years’ experience
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
