Software EngineerDesign, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Individual contributor software engineer: Ability to develop software components independently with minimal supervision. Programming language: C (good object-oriented knowledge required) OR C++. Database: Must have strong SQL skills and stored procedure experience.
This can be either T-SQL from Microsoft SQL Server OR PL/SQL from Oracle (any version). DBA knowledge is not required. Business Application experience: Proven ability to analyze requirements and deliver technical components aligned with business requirements. Ability to learn business processes dependent on the specific technical solution.
Nice-to-have: Insurance claims business knowledge is a strong plus. Oracle PL-SQL experience. C#, ASP.NET. Pro-C language.
