If you enjoy solving complex operational challenges in a fast-paced environment, this is the place to make an impact!As a senior engineer, you will focus on strengthening physical and chemical vapor deposition (PVD and CVD) area manufacturing performance by reducing operational risk and building stable, predictable capacity.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Industrial Engineering, and Operations, you will lead improving cycle time, throughput, and redundancy while supporting ambitious program timelines. This focus directly influences fab performance and development success.Responsibilities:Identify and resolve systemic physical and chemical vapor deposition (CVD and PVD) area issues affecting throughput, cycle time, and operational risk and model capacity planningDrive area performance using clear metrics, risk assessments, and data-informed capital decisionsEffectively partner with Industrial Engineering, Process Development, Manufacturing, and Operations cross-functional teams to evaluate and influence capacity scenarios and mitigation plansAnalyze operational data to communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunitiesThrough strong leadership, optimally collaborate with stakeholders to drive projects, lead strategic meetings and drive capacity managementLead safety and quality efforts including audits, good catches, and human QDR follow-upMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a semiconductor Engineering equivalent degree requiredMinimum 3+ years of deep experience driving semiconductor equipment capacity planning or semiconductor area process engineering required with proficiency using SQL, Python and Tableau planning and visualization toolsExperience supporting Physical and/or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD or PVD) processesDemonstrated experience with fab capacity planning, floor scheduling, line management systems and fab operationsStrong ability to manage multiple priorities while leading and influencing in a dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience developing or deploying area-level operational management tools or techniquesBackground validating planning assumptions or supporting area-level strategic planningExperience driving consistent manufacturing procedures across cross-functional teamsExperience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.Micron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
