- Develop energy-saving strategies and identify energy-efficiency and emissions-reduction measures for existing buildings
- Calculate energy and cost savings and return on investment using spreadsheets and other tools
- Prepare preliminary cost estimates for recommended measures
- Perform ASHRAE Level I and Level II Energy Audits
- Support retro-commissioning of existing buildings
- Consult with clients and engineers on climate control systems, energy modeling, data logging, building automation systems, lighting/daylighting design, sustainable design, and energy auditing
- Understand energy-efficiency and sustainability ordinances and requirements across various cities and states
- Review ARCH and MEP drawings for existing buildings and systems
- Support applications for utility and local incentives
- Produce technical and non-technical reports for program compliance and ownership review
- Support project teams on client engagements and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
- Review project deliverables for accuracy, timeliness, budget, and client needs
- Participate in business development to grow Cushman & Wakefield's ESG practice
- Help shape the ESG practice and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical field (math, engineering, or science) or related work experience
- At least 5-8 years of applicable work experience in a related field
- Experience developing decarbonization strategies, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, green power procurement, RECs, and carbon offsets, preferably in commercial real estate
- Comfort managing data-driven tasks in Excel and other software platforms, including complex calculations and estimation methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to lead internal and client meetings
- Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to travel up to 12 days per month
