Salary: $275K - $325K
Hybrid Schedule: 2 remote days per week
Job Summary:
National Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Litigation Associate to join a sophisticated and growing employment law practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with employers on complex workplace issues, provide strategic legal counsel, and handle high-profile litigation matters from inception through resolution.
What You'll Do:
As a key member of the team, you will advise and represent employers across a broad spectrum of employment law matters, including:
- Counseling clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Advising on wage and hour issues, paid sick leave requirements, discrimination and retaliation claims, and emerging workplace issues involving artificial intelligence
- Representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings
- Managing all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, witness preparation, and motion practice
- Drafting and arguing substantive and dispositive motions
- Conducting workplace investigations and fact-finding efforts
- Preparing responses to administrative charges and agency inquiries
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, severance agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, and other employment-related contracts
What You'll Bring:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in New York
- 7-12 years of employment law experience
- Significant experience advising employers and handling employment-related litigation
- Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Experience managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law compliance requirements
- A practical, business-focused approach to client service and problem-solving
