Senior Embedded Software EngineerTTM Technologies – Aerospace & Defense Sector is seeking Senior Embedded Software Engineers to support our Radar and Surveillance team located in Farmingdale, New York. This position will focus on supporting the development of the next generation of technologies in radar, surveillance, and communication systems.Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes US Citizenship.The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the following areas:Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient embedded software systems using modern C++, embedded Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS for safety critical applicationsSupports the design, development, test, debugging and maintenance of software that is integrated into embedded systems to meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standardsDevelops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metFoster a continuous improvement cultureGenerate software requirement specification based on system design specificationsDevelop top-level architecture and detailed designs for software component and systemsDefine and document interfaces between software component and systemsSupport systems verification and validation activities such as: Hardware/Software integration, Design verification testing, Acceptance test procedure, and formal customer witnessed testingProvide hardware resource utilization estimates & measurementsPresent at customer meeting such as Preliminary design review, Critical design review, and Technical Interchange MeetingGenerate schedule inputs for cost/scheduleExperience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering and 10+ years related experienceExtensive experience in modern C++ and Real Time Operating SystemsFamiliar with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps – GitLab, Jenkins, Git Bash, Jira, and Artifactory is a plusExperience in real time embedded systemsExperience in object-oriented design methodologyExperience with full SW development life cycleRadar, Surveillance, and Communication system knowledge a plusMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenTTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:$122,655 - $215,704Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.
