What You'll Do

As a Senior Electronic Security Installer, you'll lead the installation, programming, commissioning, and service of sophisticated security systems while serving as a technical resource for both clients and team members.


Your Responsibilities


Lead Security System Installations

  • Install, configure, and commission commercial electronic security systems
  • Ensure systems are installed accurately, efficiently, and according to specifications
  • Coordinate field activities with customers, contractors, and project teams


Be the Technical Expert

  • Program and configure intrusion detection, video surveillance, and access control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving hardware, software, and communications
  • Troubleshoot IP networking, PoE systems, VLANs, bandwidth limitations, and device connectivity


Deliver High-Quality Results

  • Test and commission systems to ensure peak performance
  • Verify proper operation before project turnover
  • Maintain exceptional workmanship and quality standards


Mentor and Develop Others

  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training for technicians
  • Share best practices for installation, programming, and troubleshooting
  • Help elevate the overall capabilities of the team


Maintain Accurate Documentation

  • Complete programming records, project documentation, as-built drawings, and project close-out materials
  • Ensure all documentation is thorough, organized, and client-ready

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in electronic security, low-voltage systems, or related industries
  • Strong hands-on experience with intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems
  • Advanced programming and commissioning experience
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, PoE systems, VLANs, and IP addressing
  • Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage field responsibilities
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass required background screenings


Preferred

  • DMP Entre Certification
  • Manufacturer certifications from March Networks, Hanwha, Verint, or similar platforms
  • Enterprise and multi-site deployment experience
  • Experience integrating multiple security platforms
  • Knowledge of remote monitoring and managed security solutions


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and active job sites
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces when necessary
  • Ability to travel as project needs require
  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours during critical project phases
