Senior Electrical Test EngineerAutomated Test Systems & Electronics TestingOnsite in Madison, AL | Schedule: 4x10Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000Senior Test Engineer to support the development and implementation of electronic, electrical, and production test solutions. This role requires expertise in automated test equipment (ATE), test equipment programming, test procedure development, troubleshooting, design-for-test (DFT) analysis, and production and depot-level testing environments while supporting product quality, manufacturing operations, & customer requirementsResponsibilities:Review customer requirements and specifications, and technical documentation to develop compliant test strategies and testing solutionsDevelop cost estimates and technical inputs for customer proposals and testing requirementsCreate test plans, procedures, scripts, and test programs to support product validation, qualification, production, and depot-level testingDesign, develop, and integrate custom test equipment, fixtures, and automated test solutions to support program and production requirementsAnalyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements, design modifications, and Design for Test (DFT) enhancementsDocument test activities, findings, corrective actions, and engineering recommendationsEnsure testing procedures comply with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing effectiveness, product quality, and operational efficiencyCollaborate with vendors and suppliers to develop, modify, or improve component and subsystem testing processes, assemblies, and test equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsSupport production, engineering, and quality teams with technical test expertiseEvaluate and utilize open-source software and commercial test development tools to improve testing capabilitiesLead technical testing efforts and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians as requiredSupport additional engineering and testing activities as assignedTravel occasionally in support of customer, supplier, or testing requirementsQualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field (Equivalent experience may be substituted for education) and 8+ years of experience in test engineering, electronics testing, automated test systems, manufacturing test, or a related technical field.Experience developing test plans, procedures, test programs, and automated testing solutionsProficiency programming and operating test equipment platforms such as DIT-MCO, CableScan, Cirris, PXI, or similar automated test systemsExperience designing and developing test equipment, fixtures, and hardware solutionsStrong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skillsExperience analyzing test results and preparing technical reports, recommendations, and customer deliverablesKnowledge of manufacturing, production, depot-level testing, and quality assurance processesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookFamiliarity with open-source software and commercial test development environmentsPreferred Qualifications:RF testing, RF systems, or radio frequency electronics experienceExperience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or highly regulated industriesExperience with automated test equipment (ATE), electronic test systems, and production test automationExperience leading technical teams, projects, or test engineering initiativesMoseley Technical Services, Inc.
