Location: Tucson, Arizona
Security clearance: U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance required before start.
This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience. You will work on hands‑on multidisciplinary teams developing test solutions for Raytheon products.
What You Will Do
* Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate.
* Develop both engineering and production test systems, including test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis.
* Contribute to all stages of test product development and manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
* Act independently or as part of a team to uncover and resolve issues associated with development and implementation of test products.
Qualifications You Must Have
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced degree with at least five years (or three with advanced degree) of relevant experience.
* Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
* Experience in electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
* Proficiency with electrical design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic.
* Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters.
* Experience with schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.
Qualifications We Prefer
* Master of Science in STEM (ABET accreditation preferred).
* Technical leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in analog, digital, and/or RF design.
* Designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed‑signal, and electrical system interconnects.
* Use of integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software.
* Self starter, able to manage workload to meet deadlines.
* Teamwork, strong technical writing, and formal presentation skills.
* Leadership of single‑ or multi‑discipline engineering teams.
* Project management, bid and proposal experience.
* Knowledge of computer architecture, hardware optimization techniques, and programming languages.
* Experience with troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and interfacing with units under test (UUTs).
* Knowledge of RTX projects and systems for enhancement and leverage.
