Due to continued growth and new product development initiatives, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding engineering team in Valencia, California.
This position offers the opportunity to work on next-generation electronic platforms within a highly collaborative environment alongside Firmware, ASIC/IC, Systems, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands‑on electrical design background and experience bringing complex electronic products from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical hardware for advanced medical device platforms.
- Support the full product development lifecycle from requirements and architecture through design, testing, verification, and commercial release.
- Create schematic designs, prototype boards, and hardware solutions for next-generation products.
- Evaluate and integrate custom chip, RF, power management, and audio system technologies.
- Perform hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, systems, quality, manufacturing, and ASIC teams to ensure successful product development.
- Contribute to verification and validation activities on current products while supporting future development programs.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization.
- Support manufacturing transfer activities and ensure designs meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-7+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development.
- Proven experience owning hardware designs from concept through production release.
- Strong background in power systems, RF circuitry, audio electronics, and integrated hardware systems.
- Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, hardware debugging, and board‑level development.
- Ability to translate system and firmware requirements into robust hardware solutions.
- Strong understanding of design‑for‑manufacturing principles and product commercialization.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Experience
- Medical device industry experience.
- Altium Designer and Altium365 proficiency.
- Experience with rechargeable battery systems and portable electronic products.
- Python scripting for automation, testing, or data analysis.
- Knowledge of SPICE, MATLAB, FPGA development tools, or embedded systems.
- Experience developing highly integrated, miniaturized electronic products.
