Senior Electrical EngineerThe Sr. Electrical Engineer should be capable of leading and developing teams to complete both small and large projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required.

Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to:Be self-motivated with strong work ethic and take pride in your workServe as a Discipline Leader for our Illinois teamComplete electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizesMake major design recommendations and design decisionsPlan design work, calculate costs, and prepare schedules to assign design duties to junior staffCoordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliersMaintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project filesAct as an adviser and reviews correspondence prepared by junior project team membersEvaluate project staffing requirements, analyzes problems, and writes reportsAttend project meetings, or when appropriate, delegates activitiesMeet with clients, prepares proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relationsIdentify prospective clients, assists in marketing to develop new clients, and develops future projects with existing clientsAssist in project checking for quality control on other projectsHave knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans and drawingsSwitch between work on multiple/different projects dailyRepresent the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizationsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering plus eight (8) years of related design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseDriver's LicenseDue to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is requiredPreferred QualificationsCompetent in all conventional aspects of electrical building engineering systems and conducts work in a professional manner while collaborating with other team members.Strong electrical code knowledge including National Electric Code (NEC), ASHRAE and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).Experience scoping and drafting fees for electrical engineering components of interdisciplinary project workExperienced in Electrical Power Calculation Software, including: SKM, ETAP or Easy PowerLighting calculation experience with Visual, AGI32 or Elumtools.Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, IEEE Regulatory CodesSkilled in the use of Microsoft programs and BIM software (primarily Revit and AutoCAD)Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseExperience in the following markets: Corporate Workplace and Commercial buildings, Federal Civilian and DoD, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Justice, and Higher Education projects.Analyze equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection.Ability to manage and work on multiple projects with other team members.Additional InformationSponsorship is not available for this position.This will be a hybrid position; up to 2 days work from home.Relocation is available for this role.
